What do YOU want?

August 18, 2011 § 2 Comments

Three artists from Visual into Social (ViS), Alexandra Buhagiar, D Rosier, and Steve Renn, intervened outside Tracey Emin’s Hayward Gallery exhibition, ‘Love is what you want’. Inspired by her work and the title of the exhibition, they asked passers-by what they wanted, and invited them to record this in words or images. People participated enthusiastically and below are the 100+ responses, including one from Tracey Emin.

Thank you to all who took part.

  • it is a really beautiful work, specially poignant in the aftermath of the riots and Tory deafness to an enraged nation needs and wants

The humanity of your intervention is evident in people’s open and honest responses. It was lovely to take part in this and to see my personal contribution and others’ as a small piece of something much, much larger.
This feeling is what I want. Thanks for providing it.
